"Hi all,just got back from Top Gear with a full stainless custom made system on my Truck. Craig was very helpful and friendly and got to work straight away. Took about 3 1/2 to 4 hours in total( Mcdonalds breakfast and Subway dinner)I know some Topgear places dont get to good reviews but they differ from branch to branch. The chaps at Stockport were superb and i would recommend them if in need of a new system.You can basically pick how you want it eg 2.5" pipe,how many boxes etc etc."

"Hi, all I have a Stilo Abarth which needed a new back box. These are only available from the dealers at a cost of £185 plus £50 for fitting.

I have had a stainless Steel one longlife exhaust made and fitted by Top Gear Of Stockport and I am impressed by the make and fit of the Unit. They will make and fit for most cars.

Just thought I would let members know that they don't need to be tied to the dealer and they may save a little money. I don't have any connection to this company by the way so I am not plugging. Only recommending for a very good and professional service, rare these days."

"I just wanted to express my appreciation of the quality of the exhaust you fabricated for my nissan patrol. The sound or rather lack of it, combined with far better gasflow adds to the pleasure of driving.

You have given me plenty of clearance above the axle and good strong mounting brackets both of which are essential on a 4x4. You were right about the tailpipe design too nicely understated.

"I am Writing to thank you for the excellent job you did making the new exhaust for my Honda Civic and for the help and advice you gave me selecting the right configuration. I know I mentioned to Andy some of what I am about to say here, but i wanted to put it in writing, and it means i can copy Longlife head office on this letter. Jason there had recommended you highly to me, and he was certainly right to do so...

From the outset, Craig was patient and helpful with my enquiry. He listened very well to my needs and obviously knew what he was talking about technically, but I also got a strong impression that he genuinely wanted the best for me, rather than what might be more convenient or profitable for him.

For example, when i went with his advice to go with slip joints, he suggested a flexible joint at no extra charge. And i saw exactly the same helpful approach from Andy with other customers who made enquiries while i was sitting in there reception area today.

Before confirming the order i visited your premises. They are not extravagant or too showy (i'd be paying for that), but simple, smart, modern, clean and tidy. It all inspired me with confidence that you would do a great job. Your systems are well organized, for example your automated text message had all the details i needed about the appointment. Your reception area is comfortable too: that was a great help,as i was able to bring along and do my work while i waited during the fabrication.

Finally on completion of the job you were very happy for me to inspect the work, which i did. It all looked like excellent workmanship. and as i drove the car away it never sounder better

The engine just sounded like it was purring.

It will be many years before i know how well the system has stood the test of time but i have every expectations that it will, and that if there is any problem you will be happy to fix it.
